AmaZulu have closed the gap in their goalkeeping department with Swallows goalkeeper Aubrey Mathibe
Mathibe has signed a two year contract with AmaZulu following the release of their second goalkeeper Mbongeni Mzimela who was allowed to leave the club because of a lack of game time.
A source inside AmaZulu confirmed the news to Goal and said that the goalkeeper has signed for them.

“Mathibe has signed with us, since Mzimela has left us. We are hoping that he is going to add value in the team, and he will bring good competition to captain Tapuwa Kapini who is our number one goalkeeper,” said the source.
In the meantime, there's a greater chance that Mzimela might be joining Thanda Royal Zulu next season.
A source close to Mzimela told Goal, that the player is not concerned about playing in the lower division as long as he gets to play.
“To him the most important thing now is getting game time. Thanda is interested in him and there are greater chances (of going there) because of their relationship with AmaZulu,” he said.
