Heung-Min Son: I am happy with Hamburg
The 20-year-old Hamburg star has said he is comfortable with life in Germany, despite courting the interest of various clubs on the continent
Hamburg starlet Heung-Min Son has stressed he is happy in Germany, amid reported interest from abroad.The 20-year-old striker is believed to have played his way on to the radar of various European club's this season, with Tottenham Hotspur in England rumoured to be among those keen on luring the South Korea international away from Hamburg.
But the youngster has refuted the speculation linking him with a move away from Germany, and instead focused on his affinity for his current club.
"Why not extend my current deal? That would be a possibility. I feel very comfortable with life in Hamburg," he told ZDF.
"I still have a contract until 2014, we will talk about it when the time has come. We shouldn't worry it about it now."
Son's father also spoke on the subject, but stressed Hamburg's European aspirations take precedence before discussing his son's future.
"I don't care about his other plans. I want Heung-Min to work hard at Hamburg, and help his team so they can qualify for a European competition," he said.
Hueng-Min Son has netted nine times in 22 league appearances for Hamburg so far this season.
