Klopp: Dortmund by no means perfect against Nurnberg
The successful coach believes that the German champions were far from their best during Friday's 3-0 win, but was quite pleased with the final result nonetheless
Jurgen Klopp feels that Borussia Dortmund fully deserved their 3-0 Bundesliga win over Nurnberg on Friday, but admitted that the reigning German champions were by no means flawless. Two goals from Jakub Blaszczykowski in the opening 45 minutes and a late Robert Lewandowski strike helped BVB to a convincing win, but the former Mainz boss conceded that things could have gone differently had Nurnberg had a bit more luck.
"Even though we had much more possession, things did not go easy for us. Nurnberg could easily have gone up early on if it wasn't for Roman Weidenfeller," Klopp said at a press conference.
"We do not have the feeling that we put in a perfect performance. We do feel that we fully deserved our win, though.
"We could have caused them more problems on a few occasions. The challenge is to remain patient."
Dortmund climbed to second place in the table following Friday's win.
