Emenike unable to train in Nigeria's morning session before the final

Super Eagles leading scorer Emmanuel Emenike will need a late fitness test before Nigeria take on Burkina Faso in the 2013 Africa Nations Cup final at the National Stadium
Chelsea player Victor Moses is fit and ready to play in the 2013 Afcon final, after completing Nigeria's final training session on Sunday morning. However, Emmanuel Emenike did not train with the team and faces a late fitness test.

Update: Emenike was ruled out of the match, due to his injury problems, proving that Nigeria were not playing mind games against Burkina Faso in the lead up to the game.

Nigerian captain Joseph Yobo believes that his teammates are more than capable of winning the 2013 Afcon trophy against Burkina Faso, even if Emenike isn't ready to start the game. Yobo told the press that there is more unity in the squad than the previous teams he had also played in.
“The difference between the squads is unity. I think there is more unity in the squad than in the past. Back then, we used to go to the tournament as favourites, and I think that is why we didn’t do well,” said Yobo.
It is this team spirit that doesn't rely on individual stars, so the team could cope without Emenike if he's not available to start the final. The former Everton defender believes that the current Nigerian squad has proved the critics wrong by reaching this year’s Afcon final. He is hopeful that they will finish the tournament on a high.
“I think a lot of people did not give us a chance this year, but we are very proud to be playing in the final,” he said.
