Victor Moses said he is looking forward to playing the final and his injury was just a minor precaution, of which there is no concern
Key Nigeria and Chelsea star Victor Moses' injury against Mali was a great concern for his followers going into their countries biggest game in over a decade, the Afcon final in Johannesburg on Sunday.
However the midfielder confirmed that he is fit to play against Burkina Faso, and will do whatever it takes to ensure that Nigeria triumph.
“I am fit to play. It wasn’t anything serious and I look forward to playing in the final,” he said.
After contributing for the first two goals for Nigeria against Mali, Moses said it felt great to make a difference on the road to Johannesburg.
“It is always a team effort and I am happy that I could add value in my team. It is not about scores but making the team happy and winning,” he said.
Moses underlined that his focus is on the final, and he hopes to celebrate with his countrymen back home.
“We have worked so hard to be here, and we are hoping that we win this cup. Every player is positive and we are looking forward to give it our all,” he said.
