Bafana's scorer of the second goal in the 2-0 win against Angola, Majoro told Goal.com South Africa that he is very pleased with his performance, which worked as planned for SA
Despite picking up an injury goalscorer Lehlohono Majoro said he is very inspired by his performance and it made him feel part of the Bafana team.
“It was a great feeling scoring that goal, not only for me but for the entire nation. I think we owed it to our fans and the country,” said Majoro
“The coach told us to just go out there, play and enjoy ourselves. That is what I did. I had to be comfortable with myself and that paid off, because I was able to find the target,” he said.
The Kaizer Chiefs man said that not starting the match wasn't a problem because he believes that every player who started deserved to.
“We are a team and we are here to support each other all the way. It is not about just starting, but using the opportunities that you get wisely,” he said.
The striker also said that he was very sad that he is going to miss the next match because he would have loved to continue where he had left off.
“It would have been great to continue where I had left off, but unfortunately I cant because the doctor has confirmed that I won’t be playing. I wish my teammates all the best of luck going forward and I pray that I recover during the tournament," said Majoro.
