Igesund makes five changes for Bafana's big game against Angola

Masilela, Furman, Mahlangu, Rantie and Mphela start for South Africa against Angola in Durban on Wednesday
Bafana Bafana coach Gordon Igesund has made five changes from the team that started in the opening match of the 2013 Afcon against Cape Verde last Saturday.

Tsepo Masilela replaces Thabo Matlaba  at left-back, Dean Furman and May Mahlangu will control the game from the middle of the park where Kagisho Dikgacoi and Reneilwe Letsholonyane were playing.

Katlego Mphela and Tokelo Rantie will both play upfront, as Lehlohonolo Majoro and Siphiwe Tshabalala will start on the bench.
Former Chiefs coach Muhsin Ertugral believes Thulani Serero should have started.

"What was missing in the first match was the offensive play which Gordon must implement today," explained Ertugral, who also coached at Golden Arrows.

Ertugral told Goal.com South Africa that Igesund should protect the young talent that South Africa is blessed with and play these young stars.

"I always believed in young players because these players can give you what you want (offensive play)," said Ertugral.

Igesund starts this encounter with five attacking players as he hopes to secure all three points against Angola.

"Gordon needed to play Serero right from the start to achieve that because the next two games will be very difficult, more than the first game," concluded Ertugral.

Bafana starting XI vs Angola: Khune, Ngcongca, Khumalo, Sangweni, Masilela, Furman, Mahlangu, Phala, Parker, Rantie and Mphela.
