Motaung: Bafana players are representing the country, not Chiefs

Kaizer Chiefs football manager Bobby Motaung has told South Africa that Bafana Bafana can reach the final of the 2013 Afcon
The Chiefs manager revealed that Bafana Bafana can succeed in this year’s Afcon tournament despite collecting just a single point in their opening match against Cape Verde last Saturday.

Motaung is positive that Gordon Igesund’s troops will turn the corner against Angola on Wednesday.

“With a positive attitude, I strongly believe that Bafana Bafana can go far in this tournament. They are playing against tough players but they need to stay positive,” said Motaung.

“The ball is round and anything is possible. The final should be their destiny and they must forget about the criticism that they get from the fans,” added  Motaung.

The Amakhosi man also sent a message to all Kaizer Chiefs players that are currently in the Bafana squad for the 2013 Afcon. He said that they must not forget that they are representing the entire country, and not only Chiefs.

“We have so many players in the squad and my message to them is simple, they should remember that they are there for the country,” concluded Bobby Motaung.

This comes as a response to quarters of Pirates fans upset that Chiefs have more players in the squad.
