Bafana striker Katlego Mphela spoke to Goal.com SA about the teams goalscoring problem, and is raring to hit the back of the net if he startsMphela pledged to stop the goal drought when Bafana take on Angola on Wednesday at the Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban.
“If I do get an opportunity I promise to do well by scoring those goals, and I guess that is what is expected from me. We know what to do, and that is scoring goals. Things have not been easy but we have been working very hard to be able to convert,” said Mphela.
Mphela who was not in the starting line up against Cape Verde on Saturday, due to not being fully fit, said he is looking forward to making a difference in the team.
“It is what every striker wants to achieve and I know that it will not be a walk in the park, but we are determined to play well and score those goals,” said Mphela.
“Yes, it won’t be easy but we are determined to work hard and push ourselves until we find the back of the net,” said Mphela.
