Tunisia defender Aymen Abdennour has said his side is suffering from psychological problem and that needs to be fixed immediately before the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations in South Africa begins.

The Carthage Eagles gave up their 2-0 lead in a friendly game against the Black Stars of Ghana on Sunday to finish the match 2-4 at their camp in Abu Dhabi.

The Toulouse guardsman believes the current situation of the north Africans could go all the way to affect them at the 29th edition of the continental showpiece if nothing is done about it.

“We played the first half very well but in the second half we lost our composure and fell apart,” the 23-year-old told Supersport.

“Let me say that our team has psychological problems and many of our players are mentally drained fatigue, and I hope we can fix this before the tournament.”

The Carthage Eagles have been drawn in what has been described as the ‘group of death’ alongside Algeria, Ivory Coast and Togo in Group D. Their first match will be against Algeria on January 22 at the Royal Bafokeng stadium.
