thumbnail Hello,

Zambian defender Joseph Musonda tells Goal.com South Africa that he wants a dream final with Bafana in the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations

Veteran Zambia defender Joseph Musonda, who currently captains South African PSL club Golden Arrows says that he is not intimidated by any Bafana striker because he's already experienced facing them in club competition.

Musonda states that South Africa has become his second home and he now knows everything about the playing conditions, which will easily prepare him for the tournament.

“I am ready to face any challenge, but I am not scared of any player. Playing in South Africa has made me wiser and I am hoping to use this as home ground advantage, since this has become like my second home,” said Musonda.

On the other hand Musonda will not be complacent because he knows that defending Zambia's title will not be a walk in the park.

“I respect South African players, and I will not take them for granted. They have talent and are very dedicated but I believe that we are ready to challenge any team. The coach has also told us to stay focussed and work hard,” he said.

The defender said his team is more than ready and he prays that Bafana will reach the finals together with Zambia for his dream match.

“I know for a fact that we (Zambia) are going to reach the finals and I pray that Bafana does the same because they are really close to me (in heart). If we managed to do well whilst playing away from home last year (winning the cup), I don’t see a reason why we should not clinch the victory this time as well,” he said.

Musonda is not alone with PSL experience in the Zambia camp, there's also Kennedy Mweene, Noah Chivuta of Free State Stars, Davies Nkausu from SuperSport and Orlando Pirates Collins Mbesuma.

“The mood in the camp is really exciting and every player is positive and willing to give their best shot. The vision is very clear and we have shared the knowledge with the rest of the players about what to expect in South African conditions.
