The Pirates PRO tells Goal they are confident for the Caf Champions League despite being drawn with Egyptian giants Al Ahly and Zamalek
Orlando Pirates PRO Mickey Modisane has told Goal that they are not worried at all after being drawn with Al Ahly and Zamalek in the group stages of the Caf Champions League.
Modisane believes that Pirates opponents should consider themselves unlucky, as they will also have to work hard to beat the Sea Robbers.

“No team will have it easy in that group and I am sure they also consider themselves unfortunate to be drawn in the same group as Pirates,” Modisane told Goal.
“Pirates is a respected team on the continent and the likes of Al Ahly and Zamalek respect us too. It won’t be a walk in the park as many believe, because we know what to expect especially when playing away from home,” he said.

Modisane has also urged the supporters to come in their numbers to the stadium, as he believes it will boost morale against other African opponents.
“What our fans should do now that our opponents are known, is to come in their numbers to support the guys, because our boys need the 12th player against tough oppositions,” he said
Pirates will welcome AC Leopards in their opening match of Group A on Saturday, July 20 at the Orlando Stadium.
