Everton manager Moyes 'impressed' by Swansea

The long-serving Toffees boss has hailed Michael Laudrup's men and says he is expecting a "tough" test when the Welsh side visit Goodison Park on Saturday afternoon
Everton boss David Moyes has spoken highly of Swansea ahead of the two sides' meeting at Goodison Park on Saturday afternoon.

The Swans cemented their impressive start to life under Michael Laudrup by carving out a 2-0 first-leg lead over Chelsea in their Capital One Cup semi-final this week.

And the Scot is expecting a tough test with the south Wales outfit travelling to Merseyside full of confidence.

He told reporters: "I have been very impressed with Swansea since the start of the season. They got off to a great start.
"You take every game individually and it doesn't matter what has happened in the past, it doesn't count. You take every game on its own merit and it's a tough game against Swansea - they have had some really good results.

"It was a terrific result [in the Capital One Cup] and they have got themselves in a position where they have a better than average chance of reaching the cup final."
The Toffees currently sit fifth in the Premier League and two points short of a Champions League qualification berth, but Moyes insists his side are not overachieving.
"I wouldn't say we have exceeded my expectations," he added. "I expect a lot from the players and I expect them to win all the games they play in.
"We don't go into any game with an inferiority complex thinking that we can't win. I think the players are playing well and they have done since the start of the season and probably have done since last January.

"They have been in good form and in the main we have kept that going. They have been doing fine."
