TEAM NEWS: Mikel & Mata start for Chelsea's Capital One Cup clash against Manchester United

The two men at the centre of the Mark Clattenburg racism row are once again in the Blues' starting XI, while United make 10 changes to the team that was victorious on Sunday
Jon Obi Mikel and Juan Mata keep their places in the Chelsea midfield as the Blues host Manchester United at Stamford Bridge for the second time in four days.

There had been speculation that Roberto Di Matteo would opt to rest the Nigerian and the Spaniard - the two players allegedly on the receiving end of "inappropriate language" from referee Mark Clattenburg on Sunday.

But the Blues boss has kept faith with his key men, while also handing Cesar Azpilicueta, Ryan Bertrand, Oriol Romeu, Victor Moses, Lucas Piazon and Daniel Sturridge rare starts.

Sir Alex Ferguson, meanwhile, has made 10 changes to the side which triumphed in controversial circumstances in west London on Sunday, with only match-winner Javier Hernandez keeping his place.

The United defence carries a particularly youthful look, with academy products Michael Keane and Scott Wooton lining up in the heart of defence, between Rafael and Alexander Buttner.

In midfield, Ryan Giggs starts on the left while Darren Fletcher and Anderson are given the chance to become re-acquainted in the centre.
