Belgium’s Pro League soccer division has agreed highlights and video clip deals with a number of domestic broadcasters.

Commercial broadcaster VTM and public-service broadcaster VRT have both signed three-year deals to retain the league’s Flemish-language highlights.

VTM’s package includes late-night highlights on every match day plus live rights for the Belgium Super Cup, while VRT has the exclusive rights for a Monday evening magazine show.

Near-live video clips have been sold to pay-TV networks Belgacom and Telenet, with both broadcasters able to show up to ten clips of up to 20 seconds per match online and on mobile.

A further package of delayed, on-demand clips covering all matches via internet and mobile have also been sold. These will be exploited by a host of broadcasters, including Belgacom and RTBF in French, and Telenet, Mediahuis, De Persgroep and VRT in Dutch.
