The Zee Network-owned broadcaster has agreed a three-year deal with Football Federation Australia (FFA) media partner World Sports Group. Ten will screen 86 matches per season from the league each season, along with ten games from the FFA Cup, from 2014 to 2017.
Coverage will be available across the Indian subcontinent on Ten Action, Ten Sports, Ten HD and online.
“At Ten Sports we endeavour to give our viewers the best of football action from across the globe and we are proud to add the A-League and the FFA Cup to our bouquet of premier football content,” said Ten Sports chief executive Rajesh Sethi. “Australian football has grown leaps and bounds and offers to Ten Sports and Ten Action a different dimension to the existing portfolio.”
FFA chief executive David Gallop said the deal was “fantastic news for Australian football and deepens are engagement with the Asian region”.
