Parkgate Shopping has extended its partnership with Football League One soccer side Rotherham United for a further two seasons.
The agreement will see the shopping centre’s logo remain on the side’s home shirts until the end of the 2015-16 Football League season. The extension will take the partnership into its ninth year.
Steve Coakley, the Millers commercial director, commented: “We have had a long association with Parkgate Shopping and it gives me great pleasure to see that partnership continue to at least the summer of 2016.”
“We have agreed a two-year extension but I am sure that we will be working together for many years to come.”
Parkgate regional manager Denis Copeland added: “This really is a great time to be associated with everyone at New York Stadium, and we are proud to be on board for another two years during what is fast becoming a golden era for the club and the town as a whole.
“Our first two years saw the club in a precarious situation, and we are pleased that our support contributed to its reinvigoration, which under Tony Stewart’s chairmanship has seen it grow from strength to strength.”
The Millers currently lie fifth in the League One table, eleven points behind league leaders Wolverhampton Wanderers.
