WPWR My50 Chicago has renewed as the official television broadcast partner of Major League Soccer (MLS) side Chicago Fire for the 2014 season.
The network’s second season with Chicago Fire will see them broadcast 26 matches in HD, starting with the team’s second game of the season against Portland Timbers at Providence Park on 16th March.
In addition to the My50 coverage, the Fire will also be broadcast on national broadcast partners NBC, ESPN, ESPN2, Univision Deportes, UniMas and Time Warner Cable SportsChannel.
“We are pleased to continue our partnership with My50 Chicago as the ‘Home of the Fire’ for Chicago Fire matches throughout the 2014 season,” said Fire chief operating officer Atul Khosla.
“Returning to My50 Chicago is tremendous because we are able to offer our matches on a widely available local affiliate, and one that is now recognized as our television home.”
Chicago Fire kick off their 2014 campaign away to the recently sold Chivas USA on 9th March.
