Reigning Chinese Super League and AFC Champions League champions Guangzhou Evergrande FC have entered into a two-year partnership with Unilver-owned brand Clear on Sunday.

The agreement, which was brokered by Octagon, forms part of the brand’s new strategic advertising campaign targeted at 18 to 35-year-old men.

Maxwell Xu, the brand building director of hair care at Unilever China, commented: “They are joining us at an exciting time, with the sponsorship signing of EFC, a brand like our own, that consistently delivers championship performances.”

“Football is undoubtedly one of the most popular sports in China and this deal builds on Clear’s elite heritage in the game by becoming the first international partner of the best team in both China and Asia,” added Octagon China’s managing director Ryan Sandilands.

“Both Clear and EFC share a common belief in the importance of promoting performance and excellence and we look forward to working with GolinHarris and driving even greater success for clear in China.”
