A-League clubs Central Coast Mariners and Melbourne Heart have announced sponsorship deals with Bartercard and Diabetes College for the 2013-14 season.
Goods and services trading company Bartercard will have its branding appear on the home and away playing shorts of reigning A-League champion the Mariners, along with the club’s training shorts and corporate inventory.
Bartercard general manager Andrew Barker said: “We’ve got a great stable of tier one sponsorships in the National Rugby League, Super Rugby, and National Basketball League, but this is the first opportunity to bring an A-League champion club into the Bartercard stable. The Mariners and the Hyundai A-League will expose the Bartercard brand to a very different market in a very different part of the year, enabling us to build our business.”
Meanwhile, Diabetes College will become Melbourne Heart’s short sponsor for the 2013-14 season. Diabetes College.com promotes the new nationally accredited course in Australia, Understanding and Management of Diabetes, and the partnership will aim to raise awareness of a variety of issues surrounding type two diabetes. With the condition understood to be preventable in around 60% of cases, Melbourne Heart and Diabetes College will focus on the aspects of diet, exercise and lifestyle choices. The campaign will officially launch on November 14, which is World Diabetes Day.
