German 1.Bundesliga high-flyer Eintracht Frankfurt has agreed a deal that will see Alfa Romeo become its new shirt sponsor from the 2013-14 season.
Eintracht, currently fourth in the 1.Bundesliga, has signed an initial three-year contract with the Italian automotive marque’s parent company Fiat. Alfa Romeo will replace the Krombacher beer brand as Eintracht’s new main sponsor with the agreement brokered by the Sportfive agency.
Heribert Bruchhagen, CEO of Eintracht Frankfurt, said: “We are very pleased, and this applies not only to our Italian kitman and Alfa Romeo enthusiasts. We are fortunate and delighted to have agreed a partnership with a brand such as Alfa Romeo and a reputable company like Fiat.”
Martin Rada, chairman of Fiat Germany, added: “Alfa Romeo and Eintracht are the ideal partners. We invest with this cooperation in a common, prosperous future. What unites us is a passion, great tradition and the knowledge of our future strength.”
