Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) has continued its international brand-building exercise by launching platforms on Chinese social media services Sina Weibo and Tencent Weibo, along with introducing a Spanish-language version of its official website.

The move comes with PSG already well-established on the social media platforms of Facebook, Twitter and Google+. The Ligue 1 giant has utilised the huge pulling power of January signing David Beckham, with the former England captain welcoming Chinese fans onto the platforms via a video message.

PSG’s official website had been available in French, English and Arabic, with the club introducing the Spanish-language option in time for its UEFA Champions League clash against Valencia on Tuesday evening. The Ligue 1 leader took a 2-1 lead into the second leg of the tie, following the game in Spain.

The club said PSG.fr will soon be available in three additional languages: Portuguese, Japanese and Mandarin. PSG.fr boasts more than 1.3 million visitors and 15 million page views per month and more than a million video views each month on its PSG.TV service.
