Spanish Liga giant Real Madrid has extended a partnership with healthcare company Sanitas.
The three-year extension through to 2015 will allow the company to continue to manage Real’s medical services. The two organisations first linked up in 2008. “Both parties consider the collaboration to be very successful,” the club stated.
“The alliance with Sanitas allows Real Madrid direct access to the latest technology and the best medical professionals around the world through Sanitas’ international network of sports medicine specialists,” Real continued. “In addition, they have access to Bupa International’s hospitals and medical centres the all over the world.”
Carlos Diez, the current director of medical services for the Sanitas-Real Madrid partnership, has also been appointed managing director at Hospital Sanitas La Moraleja. The hospital has become the referral centre for tests, specialist consultations and surgery for footballers from all levels at Real Madrid.
