Cote D’Ivoire unveil squad for Senegal without Tiote

The Newcastle midfielder will not be participating in the World Cup playoff return leg due to his suspension from the previous fixture

Cote D’Ivoire coach Sabri Lamouchi has published his list for the upcoming World Cup playoff against Senegal billed for Casablanca, Morocco on November 16.

Newcastle midfielder Cheick Tiote and Geoffrey Serey Die of Swiss side FC Bale were not included following suspension. They were replaced by CSKA Moscow top striker Seydou Doumbia and German-born Mathis Bolly from Fortuna Dusseldorf.

Initially announced doubtful for the encounter owing to an injury sustained during a league match with his side Roma, Gervihno will be part of the action alongside most of the team’s regular players.

The Elephants are going into the second leg with a 3-1 lead, as the Teranga Lions will be forced to play away from home in Morocco following a one-year Fifa and Caf ban on their Dakar ground Sedar Senghor Stadium.
