Ghana defender Samuel Inkoom has thanked fans of the Black Stars for their enormous support after the 6-1 drubbing of the Pharaohs of Egypt at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi on Tuesday.
The former Kotoko full back says the role of the fans cannot go unnoticed since it motivated them to seal a comfortable victory.
“The fans were great and I must say we are very grateful for their support.
“Even when it was raining, they still continued to back us and I think what they did pushed us to produce our best, the 24-year-old told Kumasi based, Metro Fm.
Ghana will be hosted by Egypt on November 19 in the return leg of the World Cup qualifying play-off.
The Black Stars are straight favourites to go the World Cup in Brazil after clinching a 6-1 victory in the first leg.
