The Ravens have written to the Phobians for the services of the goal king of the just ended season of the Ghana Premier LeagueTP Mazembe’s west Africa representative, Nana Oduro Sarfo, has confirmed that the Congolese giant have officially written to Hearts of Oak seeking the signature of Mahatma Otoo.
The Black Stars striker, who was crowned SWAG Premiership Player of the Year, has been on the radar of the former Africa champions, as they seek to strengthen their attacking machinery ahead of their participation in the Africa Confederations Cup.
Otoo has been linked with many clubs, but it is likely he will agree to join the four-time Africa champions, who already have five players from Ghana in their camp.
“It is one Kofi Taylor who monitored the exploits of Mahatma and has recommended him to the technical team of Mazembe,” Sarfo told Accra-based Asempa FM.
“Before the Ghana game against Sudan and Lesotho, I already have the letter from Mazembe in my mail to be forwarded to Hearts who own the prolific striker.
“But when I told Hearts, they said I should wait because Mahatma is in the national camp preparing for the Stars’ double header,” he added.
He refuted claims that Otoo will receive $20,000 as monthly salary as has been reported in other media houses.
