‘It was a traumatic experience in Berekum’ – Kotoko defender Rashid Sumaila

Kumasi Asante Kotoko dependable defender Rashid Sumaila has been speaking about the nightmare that the club went through on Sunday in their Ghana Premier League game with Berekum Arsenal at the Golden City Park.

"After the game in which we won by three goals to nil the Berekum Arsenal fans started throwing stones on our bus damaging the glasses,” Sumaila told Goal Ghana.

“They damaged most of the glasses and the stones hit most of us injuring us in the process.”

Sumaila added: “It was really a traumatic experience which must not be entertained in football. Our management are on the case now.”

Sumaila, who has been the standout player in the Kotoko setup this season, has urged the fans to keep on praying and rallying behind the team as they are inline to retain the league title.
