Olympique Marseille have joined the race to sign Evian Thonon Galliard’s Ghana international Rabiu Mohammed as they seek to find a replacement for Burkina Faso enforcer Charles Kabore who is on his way to Russia.
Exclusive reports reaching Goal.com Ghana from France are that Marseille manager Elie Baup has been monitoring the lanky Ghanaian and he sees him as a like-for-like replacement for Kabore.
Currently Mohammed is valued at four million Euros and he is also on the wanted list of Olympique Lyon who have made an official request for his services.
The 23-year-old who is also the cousin of AC Milan and Black Stars midfielder Sulley Ali Muntari started his career with Asante Akim Missiles, a second division team in Konongo, Ghana, before moving to Real Sportive and then to Liberty Professionals.
His professional career has also seen him play for the junior team of Udinese, Spanish sides Gimnastica, Xeres and Italian side Sampdoria. He moved to Evian in France after his impressive outing with the Black Satellites in the world youth championship in Egypt.
