Asamoah Gyan cleared to play for Ghana against Sudan

The 27-year-old has been passed fit to play for Ghana on Sunday after earlier reporting of a thigh injury

Ghana striker, Asamoah Gyan has passed the fitness test for Sunday’s 2014 world cup qualifier against Sudan.

The Al Ain striker complained of pains in his thigh on Friday morning.

It is believed he picked up the injury when the Black Stars beat a second tier side 5-0 in a warm up match on Thursday.

But further medical checks revealed the injury is not as serious as earlier thought making him eligible to lead the team on Sunday.

Ghana's team doctors will continue to pay special attention to Gyan ahead of the game on Sunday in Kuamsi.
