Fulham’s Frimpong on his way to honour Ghana call-up despite groin injury

The on-loan Arsenal midfielder is on his way to Ghana for the World Cup qualifying game against Sudan, despite suffering a groin injury last week
Former England youth international Emmanuel Frimpong is on his way to Ghana to fulfill his debut Black Stars call-up for the World Cup qualifier game against Sudan on Sunday, despite his injury.

The 22-year-old picked up a groin injury last week in training as his side was preparing to play a Premier League game against Tottenham Hotspurs.

Frimpong was missing in action for Fulham in their 1-0 victory at the White Hart Lane against Spurs as a result of his injury.

He before the game posted on his official twitter handle: "Groin injuries are the worst can't move”, confirming the severity of his injury.

Despite his injury he this morning boarded a flight to Ghana to fulfill his debut Black Stars call-up.

He confirmed it on his twitter handle “this morning at city airport to GHANA”.

The on-loan Arsenal midfielder has been named in Ghana’s 24-man squad against Sudan at the Baba Yara Stadium, Kumasi on March 24.
