Ghana’s foreign-based players are jetting into the country for the 2014 World Cup qualifier with Fulham’s Emmanuel Frimpong expected to add to the numbers Monday eveningTwelve players have reported to Ghana camp and the list consists of nine foreign-based players and three local ones, Goal.com Ghana understands.
According to the spokesperson of the Ghana FA, Ibrahim Saanie Daara, more are expected to arrive tonight and on Tuesday for the World Cup qualifying game against Sudan on Sunday.
Those currently in camp are defender Red Bull Salzburg’s Isaac Vorsah, TP Mazembe trio Solomon Asante, Yaw Frimpong, and Richard Kissi-Boateng and Baba Abdul Rahman.
The rest are Italy-based duo Kwadwo Asamoah and Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu as well as Maritzburg United defender Awal Mohammed.
On-loan Arsenal player Emmanuel Frimpong is expected to arrive in Ghana at 8pm whiles captain Asamoah Gyan is already in the country after seeing to his mother’s funeral over the weekend in Accra.
