Football League Treble: Wins for Sheffield United, MK Dons and Rotherham

Tip: Sheffield United to win at 11/20 (1.55) with Bet365

Sheffield United bounced back from their first defeat of the season away to in-form MK Dons with an emphatic 4-1 win over Stevenage on Saturday, moving to within just two points of first-placed Tranmere Rovers in the process.

Danny Wilson’s men will be confident of applying more pressure to the leaders when they play host to a Crewe Alexandra side who have never won at Bramall Lane, nor even scored a goal in their last five visits.

The Railwaymen have only won two of their nine league games on the roadso far this season, so are unlikely to bother the hosts’ unbeaten streak that stretches back 15 games on home turf.

In fact, Steve Davis’ team have failed to even get on the score-sheet in four of their last six away from home, and will find it tough to break down a defence that has only conceded seven goals in nine home games in League One.

All in all, The Blades look sure to secure a fourth consecutive home win here, at odds of 11/20 (1.55) with Bet365.

Shrewsbury Town
MK Dons

Tip: MK Dons to win at 19/20 (1.95) with Bet365

Despite picking up their first win in five League One games against Crewe on Saturday, Shrewsbury will not be holding out much hope of making it two in a row when MK Dons come to town on Wednesday night.

The visitors have beaten both of the top two in their last two league matches, with a 6-1 FA Cup drubbing of Cambridge City sandwiched in between those impressive victories against Sheffield United and Tranmere.

Karl Robinson’s men are now unbeaten in six matches in all competitions, and have won five of those to leave them on the verge of the automatic promotion spots.

The Shrews will be more concerned with relegation after winning just four times so far this season, and will do well just to hit the back of the net against a side that has not conceded a single goal in four league games.

With all this in mind, The Dons offer great value at 19/20 (1.95) to come out on top at New Meadow.

Rotherham United
Wycombe Wanderers
Kick-off: 19:45 GMT
Rotherham to win at 1/2 (1.50) with Bet365

After the disappointment of their 5-0 defeat against Dagenham and Redbridge, Rotherham got back to winning ways last weekend with an impressive 4-2 victory over third-placed Cheltenham.

They will look to banish the memories of the disaster at Victoria Road even further when they welcome Wycombe Wanderers to the New York Stadium, with the visitors currently sitting rock bottom of the Football League for the first time in their history.

That Dagenham and Redbridge result is a blemish on a run of seven games that otherwise includes five wins and one draw for The Millers, and the hosts have won eight of their 11 home matches in the league this season, including the last four in a row.

Wycombe, on the other hand, have failed to win in seven matches, and have only picked up two points from the six league games since their short-lived mini-revival in October, that earned caretaker boss Gareth Ainsworth the permanent managerial position.

After two consecutive defeats since taking over, Ainsworth looks sure to make it three on the trot here, and the hosts are not to be missed at 1/2 (1.50) to emerge triumphant tonight.
