Matlaba misses now! With a lot of time in the the box the left-back just can't place his shot on goal and it goes agonizingly wide.
Kethevoama tries to beat Khune! But the captain is up to the task with yet another vital save for South Africa.
MAHLANGU should have scored the third! The Helsingborg midfielder cuts inside and tries to curl the ball past the post but his shot is well saved by Lembe, who palms the ball out of the path of Parker.
Five minutes to go and Bafana Bafana look set to take all three points, despite some late pressure from Les Fauves.

CAR is searching for goals with crosses, but Khune is showing his strength with a few good grabs under pressure.
A firm strike from Yamissi is palmed out for a corner by Khune, who sends the ball forward with his trademark distribution.
Bafana Bafana has dominated possession in the last five minutes, with 74% going their way. CAR is struggling to find a way back into the match.
South Africa will feel that they have this game wrapped up and will look for more goals to build on their goal difference.

Just when the killer pass eluded Letsholonyane seconds earlier, Mahlangu shows him the way with a deft pass which splits the CAR defensive line and is buried by Parker who provides a composed finish.
PARKER!!! South Africa are 2-0 up!
The game has entered a bit of a lull once more as South Africa look to slow it up.

Momi will be swapped with Manga for Les Fauves, while Rantie is off for Manyisa as both sides make changes.
MAHLANGU! The midfielder finds a bit of space outside the area and sends in a low drive towards goal, which is well saved by Lembe.
The referee's strange decision leaves CAR with a good opportunity to score, but they can't find the back of the net as Enza-Yamissi shoots wide.
Les Fauves has really turned on the pressure valves and has won an indirect free kick just inside the area.
Almost another hand of God incident there! Tshabalala is brought on for Phala.

Drama out there! Mabide seems to have handled the ball into the back of the net and is denied a goal. CAR is incensed by the decision but it is clear that the striker directed the ball into the back of the net with his hand.
CAR come close once more! Enza-Yamissi's low drive deflects off Gould and it is a corner.
CAR bring on their lethal striker Mabide to try and find the equaliser which was almost on hand seconds earlier.
YAMISSI!! Fantastic save from Khune denies the striker and the follow-up effort also goes wide from inside the area.
A high boot from Phala is punished by the referee and CAR wins a free kick in an inviting area. Yamissi steps up.
Matlaba tries the spectacular once more, but fails dismally this time as his shot trickles out for a goal kick.
South Africa has two corners in a row which are well dealt with by Les Fauves' defenders.
CAR kick off the second half and Ensa-Yamissi sends in a long range effort which does not trouble Khune.
South Africa will be happy with their lead, but the loss of Dean Furman will be a major concern for Gordon Igesund. CAR has struggled to put together any good passages of play and looks rather nervy in defence. The second half will be vital for the hosts as they try to hang onto the lead.

There it is! Half-time and South Africa go into the break with a lead thanks to a wonder strike from Matlaba.
The first half will have three minutes added on. Phala is brought down on the right flank but there is no whistle which certainly did not please the Cape Town fans.
South Africa certainly deserves the lead as they have dominated most aspects of this game. Dean Furman is making his way into the change rooms and Kagisho Dikgacoi will replace the influential midfielder.
Igesund looks worried about the injury, as Furman is off the pitch and seems quite woozy. The game kicks off once more as CAR sends in a corner kick which the hosts are able to deal with.
Paramedics are treating Furman out on the pitch and his head has been strapped in order to stop the bleeding.
Dean Furman is in real trouble out there as he was struck in the face by a CAR striker going for the ball inside South Africa's area. Blood can be seen streaming down the midfielder's face.
The left-back sends in a drive from around 35 yards out which loops over Lembe's head and finds the back of the net. South Africa is 1-0 up and the stadium is alive!

A Mexican wave is making its way around the stadium as the game enters a real lull in play, with some fouls not given by the referee who seems to be watching a different game of football out there.
Poor foul from Gould, but the referee is unsighted and books Kethevoama for his reaction!

Kethevoama shoots! But yet another long range effort from the CAR striker goes wide.
Poor foul on Phala and Bafana wins a free-kick. Parker fails to find a team-mate with his cross but CAR take over possession as he misdirects.
South Africa is beginning to dominate out there, but CAR will hope that they can hang on. Right now they are hanging on by the skin of their teeth!
Phala bursts down the right and sends in a low cross which just eludes Parker in the box.
Too many touches for South Africa as they combine well once more in attack, but Rantie is guilty of a poor touch which sends the ball out for a goal kick.
Long range effort from Foxi!! Poor communication from Bafana gives the CAR striker some space to try power the ball past Khune, but the captain is up to the task with a sprawling save.
South Africa really need to take their chances out there. The hosts have had some glorious opportunities to take the lead.
RANTIE AGAIN!! Letsholonyane sends in a looping delivery which finds an onrushing Rantie, who tries to place a header into goal, only for his effort to fly wide.
Manga is caught offside for CAR, as he tries to break behind Bafana's defense. The game is beginning to lose its initial rhythm as both teams struggle to keep control of possession.
Youga shows some fancy footwork down the left wing for CAR, but Phala is able to muscle him off the ball. CAR is beginning to show their danger in attack as they move into South Africa's final third.
RANTIE!! Dean Furman sends in an enticing ball into the area and South Africa's striker misses from point blank range, as he tries to volley home.
Shot from Manga!! The striker tries a shot from range but it lacks direction and does not trouble Khune in goal.
Phala is caught offside as South Africa launch another attack down the right flank.
South Africa will need to take those opportunities tonight. CAR has looked nervy in defense so far, but will hope to test South Africa's makeshift defensive line-up.
RANTIE!! Great play down the left flank and the Malmo striker finds space inside the area, but he can't direct his chip over the keeper and it goes just wide. Golden opportunity for Bafana Bafana.
South Africa has settled into controlling possession, as CAR look to set out their stall and let their opponents attack them. Mahlangu sends in an inviting cross but Lembe is able to grab the ball with ease.
Enza Yamissi sends in an ambitious effort which loops wide of Khune's goal as CAR edge forward early on.

The players are out on the pitch and are lining up for the national anthems in front of a disappointing crowd at the Cape Town Stadium.

Gordon Igesund will start Matlaba, Gould and Nthethe in Bafana Bafana’s defensive line-up, which is largely untested due to the injuries to Tsepo Masilela and Siyabonga Sangweni.
This is the first time South Africa will face Central African Republic in an international and the hosts will be desperate for all three points after drawing their opening two games last year.
