AmaKhosi will be looking to return to winning ways at the expense of Polokwane City who have registered only one victory since their promotion to the PSL
Polokwane City will get to taste their first PSL competition as professionals when they entertain Kaizer Chiefs in the Telkom Knockout Cup at the Peter Mokaba Stadium on Saturday.
AmaKhosi and City have not met in the league, but they have faced each other in last season’s Nedbank Cup which was eventually won by the Soweto giants.
However, this is a different ball game with a different mindset as revenge might be looming in the Polokwane City camp.
Still coached by their fitness trainer (Eduardo Schoeler), this could act against City especially as they face master tactician Stuart Baxter who guided Chiefs to the league and Cup double.
This game could actually be won on the bench than on the field although the City players are surely going to be extra motivated to do well against Chiefs.
Polokwane City have really struggled to find their feet in the PSL, but they have promising players who could cause an upset on the day.
Siphesihle Nzimande and Kagiso Senamela have been showing signs of improvement, but Chiefs have been solid at the back with Morgan Gould and Tefu Mashamaite.
