Orlando Pirates will be looking to register their first win of the year when they lock horns with Ajax Cape Town at the Orlando Stadium on Monday night.

The Buccaneers played to a 1-1 draw against AmaZulu last Thursday, and they need three points to be among the top eight teams in the league.

This will also be Urban Warriors' first clash without their tactician Muhsin Ertugral, who handed his resignation last week, and that could give Pirates an edge over their opponents.

However, the Soweto giants will also be without their influential midfielder Andile Jali, who left the country to join Belgian side KV Oostende this past weekend.

It will be interesting to see who will fill Jali's big boots in the Pirates midfield, although this could be Lehlogonolo Masalesa's chance to shine.

Roger de Sa is expected to stick to his formation of three central midfielders with Thandani Ntshumayelo and Oupa Manyisa complementing each other.

Ajax Cape Town's Ian Taylor has the likes of Toriq Losper and Eleazer Rodgers, but all eyes will be on midfield youngster Abbubaker Mobara.
