With nothing to play for but pride and honour, Kaizer Chiefs will take the field one last time for this campaign. The AmaKhosi will face-off against AmaZulu, who are looking to secure their spot in the top eight of the PSL.

The Soweto Giants narrowly beat AmaTuks 1-0 in their previous league encounter, with a late penalty conversion by Katlego Mphela. On the same evening, Chiefs had eagerly hoped that SuperSport United could defeat the log leaders Sundowns, unfortunately the Brazilians won comfortably to win the league title.

Despite giving the league away to Sundowns after their phenomenal start to the season, Chiefs continue to hold the best defensive record in the PSL. In their 29 matches played, they’ve only lost five and conceded the least amount of goals in the league.

Stuart Baxter’s side are second on the PSL table with 60 points, and any result would not change the runners up position for the Soweto Giants.

Meanwhile, AmaZulu reside in seventh position and would need to gain points to secure their top eight finish. Usuthu are sitting on 42 points and a draw would be enough to ensure their stay in the top eight.

In their previous league encounter against Golden Arrows, Ayanda Dlamini scored in the 80th minute for Usuthu which resulted in Arrows getting relegated to the NFD.

When these two sides met earlier in the season, Chiefs demolished AmaZulu 4-1 at the Moses Mabhida Stadium.
