Golden Arrows have had their worst run in the season since their promotion to the elite league which has influenced radical changes that have certainly destabilised the team.

Three coaches have come and gone with the majority of the first team players released from their contracts earlier this year, but the situation hasn't got better as they are still rooted at the bottom of the table.

The Durban-based club are now serious candidates to return back to the National First Division (NFD), as they have only collected 13 points from their 21 games played this season.

Their fans have been seeking for answers from management, but the players need to improve their performances because that's where all the battles are won at the end of the day.

Abafana Bes'thende will attempt to close the gap between them and 15th-placed Polokwane City. Arrows trail City by three points with two games in hand, and a win over title chasers Wits will see them equal on points with Boebie Solomons' side.

The Students are doing well under Gavin Hunt although they find themselves 10 points behind leaders Kaizer Chiefs after their last weekend's loss to Free State Stars.

However, they will be boosted by the return of captain Sibusiso Vilakazi, who spent the entire week in Denmark with Brondby IF where he's hoping to ply his trade next season. Vilakazi has netted 10 goals for the club so far this season.

They also have Sthembiso Ngcobo, who is definitely starting to enjoy his football at Wits. The former AmaKhosi striker has been in tremendous form since joining Wits and they will look to him for goals against his hometown club.

Arrows will have Bonginkosi Ntuli back for this encounter after he missed the Nedbank Cup defeat to Mamelodi Sundowns last weekend. Ntuli has been their most consistent player this season, and his partnership with Christopher Katongo could be what they need to ease relegation fears.
