Caf Confederation Cup Preview: Mazembe look to finish off Rabat in Morocco
The Ravens take a slender advantage to Morocco with FUS also determined to overturn the tie

With the 2017 CAF Confederation Cup finalists said to be decided this weekend, DR Congo’s TP Mazembe are well positioned as they will take a 1-0 lead to Morocco for their match with FUS Rabat at the Stade Moulay Hassan on Saturday.

Ben Malango’s solitary strike in Lubumbashi early this month separates the two sides heading to the penultimate tie.

Defending champions, Mazembe, are looking to become the second side to win this title back-to-back after SC Sfaxien who won it in 2007 and 2008.

Rabat on the other hand are looking to make their first appearance in the final since they won the title in 2010.

Mihayo Kazembe has made only one change to the squad that won the first leg, Mika Miche replaced Adama Traore in the team that travelled to Morocco.

The aggregate winner of this match will meet either South Africa’s SuperSport United or Tunisia’s Club Africain in the final scheduled for the weekend of November 17-19, first leg, and on November 24-26 for the return leg.
