Borussia Dortmund win Aggregate 5 - 2
That's it from me, Keeghann Sinanan, it's been a pleasure.
A clinical and commanding performance from Dortmund sees them book their place into the last eight. Goals from Felipe Santana, Mario Gotze and Kuba put Shakhtar to the sword. The Ukrainians put up a fight, but apart from a short spell at the beginning of the second half, were second best throughout the match. Dortmund advance by a 5-2 aggregate scoreline.
90' + 1'
FULL TIME: Dortmund 3-0 Shakhtar.
One minute of added time signaled as the atmosphere in this magnificent stadium continues to pulse.
Schmelzer does well to get in front of Adriano and head clear a long ball forward. The defence still doing its job late on.
Dortmund still look like they have another goal in them as the match winds down to a close. Shakhtar are also putting up a fight, despite the inevitability of this match.
Weidenfeller is quick off his line to deny Fernandinho a shot on goal, after the Brazilian had broken through the defensive ranks of the home side.
On comes the prodigal son Nuri Sahin, and off goes his heir apparent, Gundogan. A solid performance from the latter today, always in control of the ball in midfield.
REUS! Almost a magnificent goal! The forward glides past four challenges, moving from the right wing right into the six yard area. But he cannot adjust himself in time to place his finish, and sends it agonizingly wide!
Thoughts coming in from Mogaji Olakunle on Twitter: BVB doing excellently.with a good defence and performances from Reus,Gotze and Lewy, I won't be surprised seeing them in the final.
Good stop from Weidenfeller! Rakitskiy has time to control the ball and shoot from the corner, but the keeper keeps out the shot at the far post.
Fernandinho does well to hold onto the ball on the edge of the area, but sells Rat a little short with the pass. Reus does exceptionally well to track back and divert the ball away for a corner.
GROSSKREUTZ! Another sweeping, scintillating Dortmund break. Gotze, Lewandowski and Reus are all involved. The ball ends up at the feet of the substitute on the edge of the area, but his shot is pushed wide by Pyatov! Great save!
Piszcek is rather lucky to escape a handball after tussling with Adriano just outside the area. A clear infraction from the full back, but it would have been a free kick, not a penalty.
Kuba goes off to a hero's reception to be replaced by fellow workhorse Kevin Grosskreutz. A great game from the Pole, taking his goal with the sheer determination that has defined his on-pitch contributions.
Shakhtar lose the ball on the halfway line, instantly sparking BVB forward on the break. Gotze leads the charge down the left, but his delivery into the box is just too far for the relatively unmarked Lewandowski.
Douglas Costa, to his credit, is still trying to make things happen. He beats Piszcek on the right, and swings in a cross, but Subotic is first to it and heads clear with authority.
So the tie is all but done and dusted. What do you think of Dortmund's performance in this second leg? Get in touch on Twitter @keeghann.
A quick free-kick releases Gotze against Kucher. The German beats his man with a swift step-over, but cannot bring his finish under control, and sends it over the crossbar.
Razvan Rat delivers a corner into the box, from which Rakitskiy sneaks in a header, but its routine stuff for Weidenfeller.
The game is really up for Shakhtar now. Their bright start to the second half is all but forgotten after one horrible mistake from their goalkeeper. Dortmund, as things stand, are cruising into the last eight.
Goal Jakub Blaszczykowski
DORTMUND SCORE AGAIN! Jakub Blaszczykowski races forward with the ball from his own half and tees up Gundogan for the shot at the edge of the area. The effort should be routine for Pyatov, but he spills the catch, and Kuba is there to mop up the rebound!
Dortmund beginning to work themselves onto a more even footing after the barnstorming start by Shakhtar to the second half. The home side look much more comfortable in possession.
Gotze whips in a high corner kick, but Pyatov is off his line confidently to snare the ball ahead of the threat of Santana and Subotic.
Kucher is really living on borrowed time here. He clearly fouls Gotze, and avoids a second booking. The young German takes responsibilities for the set piece, but Pyatov sees it all the way and makes a low save.
Mkhitaryan isolates Piszczek on the flanks, but with an inch of space to find a cross, he instead goes for glory, and sends it off target. The Armenian has really been a frustrating outlet so far for the Ukrainians so far.
In all honesty, Shakhtar really had no choice but to throw caution to the wind for this second half. Credit to their play so far though, and a stern reminder to a rattled Dortmund that this tie is not won just yet!
What a rip-roaring start to the second half from Shakhtar! First, Piszczek has to be alert to block of Teixeira from close range. The ball is worked quickly to Fernandinho on the opposite flank, but Weidenfeller strides off his line to put him off!
Douglas Costa already looks menacing! First, the Brazilian beats Santana, before being cut out at the last by Subotic. Then, he squares up to shoot from the edge of the area after a lay off from Alex Teixeira, but it flashes agonizingly wide!
Any comments throughout the second half? Reach me on Twitter @keeghann.
One change to report, for each side. Sven Bender is swapped for Sebastian Kehl, while Taison makes way for compatriot Douglas Costa.
Here we go again!
Dortmund could not have wished for a better first half. Jurgen Klopp has sent his team out well-organized and hungry, and they deserve to be in front. Goals from Felipe Santana and Mario Gotze have given the visitors a monumental task in the second half. They need two goals just to force extra time. We'll be kicking off again in a bit, so stay tuned!
45' + 1'
And that's just about the last action of the half as the referee signals for the interval!
But Weidenfeller is busy now! Fernendinho's cross inadvertently heads towards the top corner, but the goalkeeper makes a smart save high to his right.
Shakhtar have a corner of their own at the other end of the pitch, but Kucher's hooked half-volley on the turn is no threat at all to Weidenfeller.
From the resulting corner, Kucher heads clear, and Gundogan takes aim from outside the box, but he drills the ball into orbit.
LEWANDOWSKI! That should have been 3-0! Reus picks up the ball in midfield and feeds Lewandowski in on the right. But the forward delays his shot too long, and Hubschman is able to make a crucial block at the near post.
Mario Gotze has now been directly involved in six of Dortmund's last eight Champions League goals. That comes as no surprise for regular watchers of BVB.
Shakhtar now have a mountain to climb, needing two goals to stand a chance of progressing. But their threat has been intermittent at best, and Dortmund have simply been better in every area of the pitch.
Assist Robert Lewandowski
Goal Mario Götze
DORTMUND STRIKE AGAIN! An excellent counter attack! Lewandowski is the architect on the right flank, delaying his cross superbly to pick out the run of Gotze. And the 20-year-old ghosts in between the two centre backs and strokes home with aplomb!

Santana with another almighty leap to attack a Gotze corner, but this time, the ball is a little too far over his head, and he instead nods it away from goal. But where was his marker?
Set pieces are proving a real weapon for the Bundesliga side. Hummels scored from a corner in the first leg, and now Santana has repeated the feat here in the Westfalenstadion. The Ukrainians with a bit of a soft centre!
A moment to savor for Santana. He's come under fire in recent games for a string of suspect performances, but he has been spot-on in defence so far, and has come up trumps at the other end of the pitch.
Assist Mario Götze
Goal Felipe Santana
AND SANTANA STRIKES GOLD FROM THE CORNER! What an absolutely magnificent header. The defender strode forward and rose like a colossus to thump the ball right into the top corner from Gotze's delivery. Rakitskiy no chance!
Gotze fashions a good shooting opportunity for a shot at the edge of the box, but it's deflected out for a corner.
Chance for Piszczek! Gotze leads the break through the centre, and Lewandowski lays the ball off beautifully to the Polish fullback. But with space to shoot inside the box, he instead opts for a cross, which is blocked, then attacks the rebound, which is blocked also.
The visitors' threat on the counter attack is really growing as this game has progressed. Mkhitaryan is on the run, and plays a sweeping ball cross-field to Rat. The fullback sends in an absolutely devilish ball into the area that is begging to be attacked, but Santana steps in to get rid of the danger.
The corner comes to nothing, but Kucher commits another infraction in his haste to win the ball back. Does he not remember that he's already on a booking?
The break is on again for the visitors. Taison is initially blocked off well by Bender, but the visitors hold possession. The ball is worked to Fernandinho, who loves to hit them from the edge of the area. But the combination of Santana and Subotic put him off. Corner.
Shakhtar fizz in a wicked free-kick from the right, but no one in white is there to attack it. Piszczek makes the clearance.
Rakitskiy gets away with murder for a bad challenge on Lewandowski. But no yellow card, not even a free kick for Dortmund. The fans are furious, and rightfully so.
We're 20 minutes into this game, and still no goals, though events have been lively. Thoughts on the game so far? I want to hear from you. Get in touch on Twitter @keeghann.
Dortmund have an effort on goal, and its Sven Bender taking aim from all of 35 yards. I'll let you guess how that one turned out.
And immediately, Shakhtar are on the break! Mkhitaryan leads the charge through the middle, but with options either side of him, elects to play in Taison, who is clearly offside.
Dortmund keep banging on the Shakhtar door, but the Ukrainians aren't giving in. Reus and Schmelzer link up on the left, but with the former primed to shoot, Srna makes the clearance.
Yellow Card Olexandr Kucher
Kucher sees yellow for an untidy challenge on Lewandowski. Not the smartest move by the defender to risk a booking this early.
Dortmund, by the way, are one of three teams to remain unbeaten in this season's Champipons League, alongside Juventus and fellow Bundesliga side Schalke.
THAT should have been 1-0! Lewandowski gets in behind the back four, latching onto Gotze's slipped pass, but Pyatov is quick off his line to make the block. An excellent piece of goalkeeping!
Mkhitaryan again with a good opportunity. He attacks a long ball, this time making sure his first touch is spot on. He tries to square for Adriano, but the cross is straight at Subotic's feet.
Potential there for a Shakhtar break. The ball is played to Luiz Adriano at the top of the box, and he lays it off immediately towards Henrik Mkhitaryan. But the Armenian's first touch is heavy, and Santana is able to get to the ball before he gets a second and clears.
It's been all BVB in the opening exchanges. Their passing is crisp, and the man on the ball has a lot of movement in front of him. But the Shakhtar defence is holding firm thus far.
Piszczek with time and space to pick out a cross on the right. He does just that, but it is asking a bit too much of Lewandowski to make contact. Rat heads clear.
Some excellent possession for Dortmund early on. The Germans win a corner, but Lewandowski's attempts to turn it home see it hit the leg of a defender.
And the match kicks off!
The teams are on the field, the always evocative Champions League anthem is ringing through the stadium, and we are about to kick off a fantastic night of European football. Stay tuned...
With kickoff drawing ever closer, it's about that time for you, our readers, to send in your predictions for tonight's game. Reach me on Twitter @keeghann and share your thoughts!
It's all to play for in this finely-poised second leg. Dortmund clinched a 2-2 draw at the Donbass arena thanks to Hummels' late header - the defender making up for an earlier howler that gave Shakhtar a 2-1 lead.
The visitors meanwhile make two changes from their last match, a 4-1 win over Volyn Lutsk. Familiar Brazilian duo Taison and Fernandinho have been recalled to the starting XI.
Mario Gotze returns to the starting lineup after his substitute role during the weekend victory over Hannover. However, Mats Hummels, villain-turned-hero of the first leg, could not recover from a bout of the flu in time to make this match. As usual, Felipe Santana deputizes at centre back.
SHAKHTAR: Pyatov, Srna, Kucher, Rakitskiy, Rat, Hubschman, Fernandinho, Taison, Mkhitaryan, Alex Teixeira, Luiz Adriano. SUBS: Kanibolotskiy, Kryvtsov, Stepanenko, Kobin, Gai, Douglas Costa, Eduardo.
BORUSSIA DORTMUND: Weidenfeller, Blaszczykowski, Subotic, Felipe Santana, Schmelzer, Gundogan, Bender, Piszczek, Reus, Gotze, Lewandowski. SUBS: Langerak, Kehl, Leitner, Sahin, Grosskreutz, Bittencourt, Schieber.
