AmaZulu, on a six match unbeaten run, will seek to dent Pirates' title hopes once more when the two teams meet in a PSL clash at the Moses Mabhida Stadium on Wednesday night.

The resurgent side has kept five clean sheets in their last six outings, which should test a struggling Pirates side's ability to score.

Usuthu were condemned as relegation candidates earlier this season, but the influence of Craig Roslee has seen the side climb to 12th on the PSL log with 24 points from 22 games.

Pirates slipped to seven points behind Kaizer Chiefs when they failed to find the back of the net against University of Pretoria last weekend, putting their title hopes on the backburner once again.

Coach Roger de Sa believes that all three points is a necessity against AmaZulu, in order to keep Chiefs on their toes as the season moves into its final quarter. But the coach has recognised AmaZulu's newfound form and is not expecting an easy encounter in Durban.

“Durban is a happy hunting ground for us and I’m optimistic of a victory,” De Sa said.

“AmaZulu will be no easy opponent after easing their way out of the relegation zone with a succession of impressive results,” he concluded.
