Bloemfontein Celtic got their first win of the season when they defeated Amazulu 2-0 at the Moses Mabhida Stadium in Wednesday night
Both sides started off slowly as the first attempt at goal came in the 14th minute when Amazulu's Goodman Dlamini fired tamely at Celtic's keeper Patrick Tignyemb.
Three minutes later though, the visitors opened the scoring through Lerato Lamola, who capitalised on a defensive error and rounded keeper Tapuwa Kapini before slotting the ball into an empty net.
Ten minutes later, Phunya Sele Sele made it 2-0 with Frank Gabadinho Mhango capitalising on another defensive calamity to finish superbly past Kapini.
Usuthu should have pulled one back immediately afterwards, Bongani Ndulula's superb strike was brilliantly saved by Tignyemb.
In the second half, Joel Mogorosi had a perfect opportunity to extend Siwelele's lead in the 66th minute, but his effort went wide of Kapini's goal from close range.
Zambian Bornwell Mwape had a great chance to reduce the deficit for Usuthu in the 89th minute, but his diving header from a Ruzaigh Gamilden cross cannoned off the outside of the woodwork.
Dlamini then got on the end of Gamilden's corner late in the game, only to see his header blocked on the line by Tignyemb as Siwelele returned to Bloemfontein with all the points.
