That said, thank you very much for joining me this evening and for following this LIVE! commentary. For those who want more, the Liverpool game kicks off in about 10 minutes, and stay with us for reaction from this game. But, for now, I've been Chris Teale, and I really appreciate you joining me.
What a waste for Spurs, who have two points from their opening two games. They should probably have won that tonight.

90' + 3'
FULL-TIME, and that definitely wasn’t in the script, as Spurs once again draw in the Europa League, this time 1-1. They struggled to find anything like their top form tonight, and were punished by an equaliser from Toche. Neither side has looked particularly sparkling tonight, but Spurs will be very disappointed to come away with a point from a game that was infinitely winnable.
90' + 1'
Spurs are clinging on a bit, as from a free kick Panathinaikos have two great shots on goal blocked away.
Yellow Card Andros Townsend
Three minutes are to be added on.
Not long left here. Can Spurs nick a winning goal? Bale takes a corner, but there's a foul on the Panathinaikos goalkeeper.
Spurs look a little bit uneasy out there now after that equaliser, but manage to clear a free kick from their penalty area.
Assist Giourkas Seitaridis
GOAL!!! It's an equaliser for Panathinaikos!!!!! Great ball through from Seitaridis, and Toche is there to apply a delicate finish past Lloris. It's 1-1!
Yellow Card Loukas Vyntra
Aaron Lennon is another who hasn't done a lot, and he walks off the pitch somewhat disconsolately. He's replaced by the brilliantly named Andros Townsend.
Spurs are sloppy, and Panathinaikos frankly aren't any better at all. Lennon is rugby-tackled to the ground by a Greens defender, who decides to writhe around on the ground in agony.
Decent chance there for Defoe, who sees a shot deflected just wide for a corner.
Dempsey's not done very much tonight, and is taken off by Andre Villas-Boas. Gylfi Sigurdsson is his replacement. Dempsey's, that is, not AVB.
Gareth Bale has a shot from outside the box, but it goes wide. It had a good bit of swerve on it, but was well wide.
Clint Dempsey has a crack from outside the box, but it's ambitious and easy for the goalkeeper.
Then, almost immediately, Sissoko has a shout for a penalty after what he deemed was a heavy tackle by Walker. However, the referee said no.
That should have been 2-0. A through-ball goes into Defoe, who has a couple of superb touches than blazes the ball over with his third from close range.
Lloris hasn't quite looked 100% confident under the high balls tonight, but thankfully has been able to prevent any threats to his goal on the rebound.
Sissoko is clear, but plays an absolutely horrific cross that goes straight to Lloris. That was dreadful.
Jan Vertonghen plays an absolutely beautiful ball that has us all purring. However, Jermain Defoe is called offside.
The Greeks made a change at half-time, just to keep things interesting. Ibrahim Sissoko comes on in place of Stergos Marinos.
We're back for the second half, and it's Panathinaikos who get things started.
HALF-TIME, and it’s been a professional display from Spurs, who lead 1-0 thanks to a header from captain Michael Dawson. They haven’t sparkled, but have done a good job against the Greeks so far and look relatively comfortable. In truth, it’s not been the greatest game in the world, but Spurs will be happy to be ahead and to have opened their European account this season.
Hugo Lloris, you lucky boy. It seems as though he takes his eye off a cross, and he nearly spills it into the path of Toche.
Yellow Card Gareth Bale
Bale is booked for a bad tackle on Seitaridis as he tracks back.
Great shot there from Huddlestone on the half-volley, but Ezteris is there again to beat the ball away.
Assist Tom Huddlestone
Goal Michael Dawson
GOAL!!! Spurs have the lead! A free kick comes in, and Michael Dawson is there at the near post to head home! 1-0 to the away side!
Through ball there to Lazaros Christodoulopoulos, but Lloris is out quickly to gather.
No worries, though. Straight into the Frenchman's gloves, but back come the Greeks.
Whoops. Kyle Walker concedes a corner after what looks like a miscommunication with Lloris.
Aaron Lennon is given the freedom of Athens there, and runs forward into acres of space. However, it's not his best strike, and is straight at Karnezis.
Jermain Defoe is fighting a bit of a losing battle up front on his own, and is back around the halfway line trying to get the ball. He then picks up a free kick after a slight touch from a Panathinaikos defender.
Another free kick from Bale, and it's a bizzare header from Toche who nods the ball back into the penalty area. Thankfully, his team-mates are on hand to avert any further danger.
Free kick for Spurs well outside the box. Clint Dempsey takes it, and it goes wide with Panathinaikos goalkeeper Orestis Karnezis scrambling.
It's fair to say that Quincy Owusu-Abeyie never did that at Arsenal. He makes a surging, determined run that almost takes him clean through. Alas, Spurs clear.
The Panathinaikos fans are making quite a din out there. Incredible yet depressing, given the rows and rows of empty seats in the Olympic Stadium.
Great control from Giourkas Seitaridis on the right and he sends in a decent cross. However, Hugo Lloris is calmness personified, and gathers comfortably.
Cracking chest control there from Kyle Walker, but his shot is skewed and lets him down.
It's been a bit slow out there so far, and neither side is really holding onto the ball all that well.
Depressingly, the stadium is only about a quarter-full, showing a great deal of disenchantment among fans of the Greeks. Spurs are looking comfortable already, though.
Gareth Bale is already on the run, and he sends in a teasing cross that's cleared well.
We're off! Spurs kick off the first half.
Not long until kick-off, as the teams make their way onto the pitch in Athens.
And the Greeks? Here we go: Karnezis, Andre Pinto, Seitaridis, Marinos, Vyntra, Triantafyllopoulos, Vitolo, Christodoulopoulos, Zeca, Toche, Owusu-Abeyie Subs: Kotsolis, Chouchoumis, Sissoko, Mavrias, Lagos, Fornaroli, Barbarouses.
So, how is the Spurs team looking? Well, here it is: Lloris, Walker, Dawson (c), Caulker, Vertonghen; Huddlestone, Dembele, Dempsey, Lennon, Bale; Defoe. Subs: Cudicini, Gallas, Sandro, Townsend, Falque, Mason and Sigurdsson.
What of the Greek side? Their side contains former Premier League, erm, stars Jean-Alain Boumsong, Christian Leto and Quincy Owusu-Abeyie, but they've only won once in the Greek Super League. They then suffered a 3-0 loss to Maribor in their first Europa group match, so things aren't easy right now.
Well, Spurs are gathering some momentum in the Premier League with their five-match unbeaten run, and will be hoping to carry that on in Greece tonight as they face the Greens at the Olympic Stadium in Athens. It'll be an interesting atmosphere tonight, that's for sure.
Good evening, and welcome to Goal.com’s LIVE! text commentary on this Europa League clash between Panathinaikos and Tottenham. I’m Chris Teale, and it’s a pleasure to be enjoying this one with you.
