By Lunga Ntuli
Playing at the King Zwelithini Stadium in the township of Umlazi is expected to attract a massive crowd for both the teams.
AmaZulu coach, Craig Rosslee has started implementing entertaining, attacking football. Joseph Malongoane is a player to watch as he is able to change the pace of the game and also brings a variety of creativity in the middle of the park. Although he did not start the previous match against Maritzburg, it will be of no surprise if Rosslee gives him a chance this time.
AmaZulu will once again be hoping to find a goal, which will boost their confidence. The experience of Makhosonke Bhengu will be tested as he made it clear that he wants goals. Bhengu missed out on the last game due to an injury and he is expected to make his debut on a high note.
Bongani Ndulula, who came in the second half is amongst some of the players that might come in early this time.
This will be a special game for Thokozani Mshengu, who had a great game against Maritzburg, and won the man of the match award. Mshengu will be playing against a club that helped him to make a name for himself in the PSL. He created several opportunities and if his form continues, he is one of the players that Arrows needs to keep a close eye on.
Rosslee said he won’t be making many changes to his side as he wants to create consistency.
“I will not be making many changes, but it is important that we play to our strength. Arrows are confident after a win, but my players need those points more than anything, and I think they will do well,” said Rosslee
Arrows are coming in with full confidence, having won their opener by 2-0 against University of Pretoria on Wednesday.
After scoring two goals in the opening match, Bongi Ntuli is one of the players that will be hoping to find the back of the net once again. The experience of former Bafana cap Thanduyise Khuboni will be vital as ever.
With their coach Manqoba Mngqithi being the former coach for Usuthu, he is expected to prove that the club made a mistake by letting him go. A player who will be hoping to prove his point, will be Sibusiso Hadebe who once offered his services to AmaZulu. If the game is to be won on the midfield, then Thamsanqa Gabuza's role is key.
