• VOLKSWAGEN ARENA, Wolfsburg
Referee: F. Zwayer
• Attendance: 30000
M. Mandžukić 36'
A. Robben 90'+
As I mentioned before, Heynckes now takes his side to the Emirates Stadium on Tuesday. For Wolfsburg, they travel to Mainz next weekend. I've been Tom Maston for Goal.com.
The final whistle is blown and Bayern have warmed-up for their trip to Arsenal with a routine win over Wolfsburg. The leaders weren't at their brilliant best but Mandzukic's brilliant finish and Robben's late clincher were enough to give them all three points.
Full time: Wolfsburg 0-2 Bayern Munich

Assist Thomas Müller

Goal Arjen Robben
GOAL FOR BAYERN!!! Game, set, match! Wolfsburg leave space at the back and Muller has time to pick out Robben with an excellent pass. The substitute brought the ball down well and finished emphatically. The Bavarians set to go 18 points clear at the top of Bundesliga.
The fourth official signals three minutes of added time. Can Wolfsburg grab an unlikely equaliser?
Wolfsburg trying their hardest to force the issue as Schafer puts in yet another cross from the left that Neuer deals with. Good performance from the goalkeeper this evening.
Diego is dropping deep to try and get something going for the home side. Not a lot happening for them though and time is running out now.
Hasebe receives his final warning after catching Schweinsteiger with an arm before one Mario replaces another; Gomez on for goalscorer Mandzukic.
Yellow Card Naldo
Naldo is booked as he brings down Mandzukic. Seven yellow cards in the game now.
Double substitution for Bayern now as Arjen Robben and Antoliy Tymoshchuk replace Ribery and Kroos.
OH SO CLOSE!!! Diego clips the free kick towards the top corner and Neuer flies across his goalmouth to punch clear. Some Wolfsburg players thought the ball had crossed the line but it wasn't to be.
Yellow Card Dante
Could be a chance here for Wolfsburg as Dante is booked for using his arm in challenging Dost.
Wolfsburg lay all their cards on the table as they make a double change. Vieirinha and Trasch are replaced by Patrick Helmes and Fagner.
Yellow Card Makoto Hasebe
Another yellow card, this time for Hasebe as he brings down Ribery. The Japanese midfielder has been lucky to escape a yellow card before now and that one is more for accumulation than anything else.
Bayern are holding out quite easily here, and it looks as if it might take a moment of magic from Wolfsburg to get a goal themselves.
Bayern still look the most likely but they have struggled to test Benaglio. Luiz Gustavo is the latest to try his luck but his shot from the edge of the area is too high. Still 1-0 as we enter the final quarter of the match.
First substitution of the match, with Olic being replaced by Ivan Perisic for the home side.
Mandzukic is lucky to get away with just a warning as he leaves his foot in and catches Schafer late as he makes a clearance. Plenty of boos for the former Wolfsburg striker.
Polak wins the ball in midfield and breaks forward. He has options in front of him but chooses to shoot himself, only to scuff his effort wide.
Vieirinha is back on the pitch but is clearly limping badly. Substitution could be imminent for the home side.
Yellow Card Franck Ribéry
First yellow card of the night for a Bayern player as Ribery makes a poor challenge while he tries to break clear on one of his mazy runs. Vieirinha looks hurt and heads off the pitch for further treatment.
Wolfsburg will be encouraged by their start to the second half and Vieirinha bursts forward before laying the ball into Diego's path. The playmaker hits it first time but it's blocked before it reaches Neuer.
Olic gets the better of Lahm again down the left and tries to pick out Dorst in the centre. Neuer, like he has done a number of times already tonight, catches the centre and diffuses the attack.
Wolfsburg threaten at the other end but Vieirinha's effort from 20 yards flies almost as far over the bar. The home side will still fancy themselves to get back into this.
A brilliant switch of play finds Lahm in absolute acres of space on the right. The captain makes his way into the box before sliding the ball back to Muller, but his placed effort is excellently cleared off the line by Naldo. The centre back dug the rest of his defence out of a hole with that block.
First opportunity for Bayern in the second period but Ribery's corner is too close to Benaglio and he catches easily.
Wolfsburg get us going with kick off and we are back underway with Bayern Munich leading 1-0.
The players are back out on the field and we are ready for the restart.
We are approaching the start of the second half at the Volkswagen Arena, and @yaxcharming has been in touch on Twitter, saying: "I hope Bayern wins but Wolfsburg ain't out of this yet." I presume the Heynckes knows that and will be hoping his players don't start thinking of the Emirates on Tuesday before they've finished this match.
So Mario Mandzukic's spectacular effort is the difference between the two sides. Wolfsburg have looked threatening down the left hand side but are yet to test Neuer in goal. Can the home side get back into this or will Bayern stretch their lead in the second period? Let me know on Twitter @maston91, and I'll be back for the second 45 minutes.
That yellow card was the last action of the first half as the whistle goes to signal the break.
45' + 2'
Yellow Card Bas Dost
Third booking of the half for the home side as Dost is booked for challenging van Buyten unfairly in the air. Bit harsh that from the referee.
Into stoppage time at the end of the first half. Bayern look set to go into the break a goal to the good.
Half chance for Wolfsburg as Diego's corner is well met by Jan Polak. His header, though, doesn't worry Neuer as it flies well over the bar.
The visitors have the wind in their sails now and Ribery twists and turns on the right hand side but can only find Benaglio with his low cross. Wolfsburg must now try to get to half time without further damage if they are to have any chance of getting back into this one.
Everytime you see that Mandzukic goal it looks better and better. Wolfsburg would have been happy with how they've defended, but there was no one challenging the goalscorer.
Assist Bastian Schweinsteiger
Goal Mario Mandzukic
GOAL FOR BAYERN!!! Brilliant from Mandzukic! Kroos' free kick is headed back towards the middle of the box, and the Croatia international produces a superb overhead kick to give the Bundesliga leaders the first goal of the match. Much for Wolfsburg to do now.
Yellow Card Vieirinha
Alaba gets bombs forward down the left and Vieirinha can only bring him down from behind. Fairly cynical from the Wolfsburg man and he is booked for his troubles.
Quick thinking gets Makoto Hasebe away down the right hand side, but the midfielder's cross is overhit and goes out for a goal kick. The home side would be well advised to make one of these opportunities count.
Bayern keep pushing for that opening goal, and Muller is the latest to go close as he challenges Madlung in the air. The defender chooses to go with his foot as oppose to his head but he manages to clear well.
Luiz Gustavo gives the ball away midway inside his own half, but Wolfsburg can't capitalise as Olic's cross is wayward.
We have seen precious little of Diego so far, but the little Brazilian is trying to make something happen for the home side. The Bayern midfield are shepherding him well.
Yellow Card Alexander Madlung
First booking of the match as Alexander Madlung catches Mandzukic with an arm. Decent position for Bayern, but Benaglio punches the set-piece clear.
Almost a chance for Mandzukic as Naldo's back pass sells Benaglio short. The goalkeeper is quickly off his line and clears just ahead of the striker.
Franck Ribery wins a free kick just outside the box on the left hand side, and after the resulting cross bounces around the box, it is fired over by Muller.
More good work from Wolfsburg on the left as Olic and Schafer double up against Lahm. The latter's cross is too close to Neuer though and the Germany goalkeeper catches well.
Muted appeals for a penalty as Kroos lofts in a free kick and van Buyten battles for the ball. The big defender tries to win a header on the bounce but is beaten to the ball, though Dost's foot is high. Nothing doing for the referee.
Wolfsburg work a number of throw-ins down the left but nothing comes of it. They obviously see the Bayern right as a weak area.
The Bayern front four are already switching positions effectively, and this time it's Muller down the right who crosses, but Diego Benaglio holds on well. At the other end, Vieirinha fires wide from distance.
Schafer finds space down the left again, but this time his delivery is overhit. Bayern won't have it all their own way this evening.
Wolfsburg coach Dieter Hecking said his side would look to attack, and they look threatening for the first time as Marcel Schafer breaks up the left hand side, but his cross is excellently cut out David Alaba on the edge of the six yard box.
First chance for the visitors. Mandzukic gets away down the right and clips a ball in from the byline. Thomas Muller got in front of his man but could only put his effort wide. Decent opportunity.
Quiet opening to proceedings, with the returning Daniel van Buyten firing a pass forward towards Mandzukic but the Croatia international can't reach it.
Bayern kick off and we are underway with the weekend's fixtures in Germany.
The pre-match rituals are almost over, and we are almost ready for the start of this match.
The players are in the tunnel and kick off is now imminent.
Bayern of course take on Arsenal on Tuesday in the Champions League but Heynckes has resisted the temptation to rest his main players. Arjen Robben and Mario Gomez remain on the substitutes bench.
Wolfsburg currently lie 12th in the Bundesliga table, but are only five points off the European places. Victory tonight could create the confidence they need to push on in the final weeks of the season.
Rumours have been abound this week regarding the future of Borussia Dortmund striker Robert Lewandowski. Reports in Germany suggest that his move to Bayern Munich could be confirmed before the end of the month, though those close to the player believe it to be just a rumour. Bayern supporters, would like the Poland international at the Allianz-Arena?
Bayern Munich: Neuer, Dante, Van Buyten, Lahm, Ribery, Alaba, Luiz Gustavo, Schweinsteiger, Kroos, Mandzukic, Muller.
Wolfsburg: Benaglio, Schafer, Madlung, Naldo, Vierinha, Diego, Hasebe, Trasch, Polak, Olic, Dost.
The teams are in as we approach kick off at the Volkswagen Arena...
Hello and welcome to Goal.com's LIVE coverage of Bayern Munich's trip to Wolfsburg in the Bundesliga. Jupp Heynckes' charges can stretch their lead at the top of the table to 18 points with victory tonight, though the home side will have different ideas. I'm Tom Maston and if you'd like to send me your thoughts on tonight's match you can find me on Twitter @maston91.
