Goals from Asamoah Gyan, Mubarak Wakaso, Abdul Majeed Waris and Emmanuel Agyemang Badu saw Ghana picking the three points at stake and now just a point behind Zambia on the standings.

It was Al Ain striker, Asamoah Gyan who broke the deadlock in the 19th minute before Mubarak Wakaso hit a half-volley to increase the lead.

The Espanyol midfielder scored with seven minutes left to end the first half.

It meant Ghana went into the break with a massive adavantage following a 2-0 lead.

Back from recess, Sudan looked like the stronger side but failed to translate that into goals.

Sudan worked themselves into the game and Ramadan Agab should have scored when he was left with only the Ghana goalkeeper to beat but blasted his effort. The North Africans kept a little bit of pressure on the Black Stars as they took advantage of some slack passing.

Anytime they attempted to attack, they were met with a strong Ghanaian central defence manned by John Boye and Isaac Vorsah.

Black Stars coach, Kwesi Appiah made some changes which saw the likes of Solomon Asante, Emmanuel Agyemang Badu and Emmanuel Frimpong joining action.

The West Africans though were lacking in possession resorted to counter attacks which produced two other goals.

Spartak Moscow striker, Abdul Majeed Waris got his name on the score sheet on his debut competitive match before playing a part in the fourth goal which was fetched by Agyemang Badu.

The win gives the Black Stars a massive advantage especially after Zambia were held to a 1-1 draw by Lesotho earlier today.
