Geoffrey Massa's 50th minute goal earned the University of Pretoria a narrow victory over MP Black Aces at the Mbombela Stadium on Saturday
One in which they certainly caught everyone by surprise. Both teams traded each other's goal early on in the first half with Miguel Timm and Massa respectively, however neither of them troubled one another.
Tuks's Tebogo Moerance had the most glaring of opportunities to open the lead for the visitors after he fired a long-range effort on target that was finely tipped away by Jackson Mabokgwane in the 20th minute.
Aces for their part also had a go at young Tristy Coetsee in the Tuks goal five minutes later through Tendai Ndoro's first-time shot from an Ofentse Nato supply, but it went wide of goal.
Five minutes into the second half, Ugandan international marksman Massa latched onto a 'route-one' supply from Coetsee to finish with finesse.
The home side then sprung to life with revived tempo but it was to no avail as Tuks secured a hard-earned triumph.
