It's been an absolute pleasure bringing you the LIVE Commentary of the FS Stars-Chiefs game. I am Ernest Makhaya, and don't forget to catch the Pirates-Bloem Celtic later this evening. It's cheers for now.
Goal Lawrence Siphiwe Tshabalala
Substitution Reneilwe Letsholonyane Ivan Bukenya
That's it! It's all over at the Charles Mopeli Stadium, and it's Kaizer Chiefs who walk away victorious as Stars have to wait for at least another year to beat AmaKhosi.
Chiefs still attacking, but Parker is brought down almost 40 metres from the Stars goal, and Bukenya fails to score from that free-kick. It would have been a special occassion for the Ugandan international.
Bukenya makes his official AmaKhosi debut, and he is looking to make an impression.
GOAL!!! Tshabalala kills the game with a sublime finish on his 200th appearance against his former club, and it is Bernard Parker who gets the assist.
Yellow Card Bernard Melvin Parker
The replay proves that the Stars goal was correctly ruled offside. So, Stars have not been denied a goal. Spot on!!
GOAL!!! Ouch Stars have been denied a goal. The assistanrt on the far side says OFFSIDE.
TSHABALALA!!! He bends it around the wall from outside the box, but it lacks power as Agyei dives to his right to make a good block before being cleared by Akoriko.
FREE-KICK TO CHIEFS!!
Stars waste their chance to get the equalizer from the free-kick, and the score line remains unchanged. 1-0 to Chiefs.
Yellow Card S. Nkosi
Substitution Mthokozisi Yende Mongezi Bobe
FREE-KICK STARS!! This could be a great chance for Stars to get that equalizing goal. Nkosi shown yellow card.
Stars have been limited to long range shots, but they are unlikely to beat Khune from that far.
Chiefs are very much relaxed at the back despite the introduction of Basit-Adam.
It doesn't look like we will get to see another goal here, as we approach the last 10 minutes of this game, but the Stars fans are still hoping for that important goal.
Khune comes out and punches the ball off Abraw and Basit-Adam's head after a well played cross from Venter. Great piece of defending from Khune.
Substitution Knowledge Musona Kingston Nkhatha
Kingston Nkhatha is getting ready to come on, and it looks like Musona will make way for his countryman.
Substitution Sibusiso Mthethwa Moeketsi Sekola
Venter plays the ball into the box, from the right hand side, but it is too high for the Stars strikers. It's looking goof for the men from Qwaqwa.
A different approach from Komphela, as Abraw and Basit get to play together upfront. Good move by the Stars mentor to try and unsettle the Chiefs defence.
PARKER!! Gaxa runs into the Stars box and whips in a low cross to Parker, but the Chiefs forward is denied by the woodwork, and Nkosi skies the rebound.
VENTER!! A chance for Stars to get the equalizer, but Venter blasts his shot over the bar. He should have at least tried to beat Ritchie.
Substitution Anver Esterhuizen Abdul-Basit Mohammed
Stars are not threatening Chiefs at all, and they are vulnerable at the back. I wouldn't be surprised if Chiefs get their second goal of the afternoon.
PARKER!! The Chiefs forward benefits from Stars' poor clearance, but his shot comes off the Stars defender and out for a corner.
Letsholonyane in the Stars' box, and he does well to connect with the ball, but it's wide of Agyei's goal. It was always going to be too far to reach for the Chiefs midfielder.
Yellow Card Anver Esterhuizen
Stars should change their approach if they are to get past the Chiefs' back four, because the long balls are not helping them.
A chance for Chiefs!! but Agyei does well to keep Stars in the game. AmaKhosi really looking to finish their opponents off.
A very slow start to the second half from both teams, but Abraw blasts his shot on the outside net of Khune's goal.
No changes to the teams that finished the first 45 minutes, as Chiefs get us underway.
Baxter has Nkhatha and Mojoro at his disposal, and the duo can be introduced later in the game to keep the pressure going.
Komphela still has Basit-Adams on the bench, but there's no Nomandela as he was left out of the squad completely.
Let me know your thoughts after the first 45 minutes. Where do you think Steve Komphela's men are lacking, and what should they do to change the complexion of this game? I am @ernestmakhaya on Twitter.
Chiefs knocking the ball around, but Zolile Mthetho blows to end the first 45 minutes at the Charles Mopeli Stadium, and it is Kaizer Chiefs who take their 1-0 into the dressing room.
Ea Lla Koto are applying the pressure on Chiefs, but they cannot beat the Mashamaite-Mathoho combination especially with aerial balls.
Another chance for Musona to put the ball away! But the cross is too high for the Zimbabwean hitman who has scored four goals for Chiefs in all competitions.
Goal S. Nkosi
Musona tries his luck from the edge of the box, but Agyei collects easily. Chiefs are now pushing forward quite dangerously.
GOAL!!! It's Siyabonga Nkosi who directs his powerful header into the back of Agyei's net from Tshabalala's free-kick. 1-0 to Chiefs.
Yellow Card Keegan Ritchie
There are no goals as yet, and Stuart Baxter will definitely not be happy with his forwards looking at the number of chances they've wasted in the opening minutes of the game.
Stars are still waiting for their first win against Chiefs in three years, and AmaKhosi have been dominating this fixture since 1996.
Tshabalala with a chance to put Chiefs in the lead, but he blasts his shot onto Akoriko. He should have done better there against his former employers.
The rain has stopped, and the clouds are starting to go away, as Chiefs continue to dominate possession. But they should use that to their advantage.
Yende and Mthethwa combines well to penetrate the Chiefs' defence, but the lanky defender cannot get his header on target. Good brand of football by Stars.
Stars are beginning to grow in confidence, and they are threatening the Chiefs' goal quite often now.
A chance for Stars! Masehe plays a low cross into the Chiefs box and it finds Abraw who flicks it over the bar. Mashamaite left him unmarked there.
It's bucketing down in Qwaqwa, but there's really nothing to worry about.
TSHABALALA! Parker does well to play the ball into the Stars area, and goes straight to Tshabalala who beats one defender, but he cannot beat the keeper, and Nkosi is also denied by Agyei. The best chance of the game wasted for Chiefs.
The visitors should have easily been 2-0 up now, but they are not as clinical in front of goal. However, their fans are pleased with the positive approach as they continue to chant in the stands.
MUSONA!! Letsholonyane plays the ball into the Stars' box, and Steve Komphela's defence fails to clear, but Musona also fails to hit the target with his weaker foot. What a chance!
ABRAW!! Oh what a turn from the Stars striker, but his powerful shot goes wide, as Khune remains rooted.
MASHAMAITE!! Thebakang fails to deal with the ball inside the box, and Mashamaite takes the advantage, but volleys his powerful shot over the bar. It should have been 1-0 to Chiefs.
A positive start for AmaKhosi, as Stars continue to chase shadows in their own backyard.
Chiefs are dictating the pace of the play in this early stages of the game, but they are finding it hard to break the Stars defence.
Chiefs with an early opportunity!! Letsholonyane times his run well, but finds it hard to turn inside the box, and his shot is easily saved by Daniel Agyei.
We underway at the Charles Mopeli Stadium.
The referee for this afternoon's encounter is Mr Zolile Mthetho who was in charge of the midweek fixture between Maritzburg United and Orlando Pirates.
The two teams are already in the field of play, as we are nearing the kick-off time.
