Kaizer Chiefs' inconsistent start to the season will be under the microscope once again, when the defending PSL champions host Bidvest Wits in a PSL clash on Saturday night.
Chiefs suffered a disappointing 1-0 loss against Ajax Cape Town in the Mother City on Tuesday night, and will look to bounce back immediately in order to restore parity to their title defence.
Following the defeat, coach Stuart Baxter lamented his side's inconsistency and lack of penetration in the final third, elements which have seen Chiefs begin their title defence in a less than convincing fashion.
Stuart Baxter may have to change the system which hindered Chiefs' attacking play against the Urban Warriors, where AmaKhosi played three centre-backs and struggled to dominate an inexperienced Ajax outfit.
AmaKhosi will welcome back William Katsande into their ranks after the defender served his one-match ban on Tuesday, but the side's star striker Knowledge Musona is only set to return in six weeks time.
Bidvest Wits have been in solid form over the last few weeks, putting together two impressive performances in order to defeat Pretoria University and Free State Stars.
The results have pushed Gavin Hunt's side up the standings, with the Clever Boys sitting two points below league leaders Mamelodi Sundowns.
A victory for Wits could see them end the weekend on the summit of the PSL, if Mamelodi Sundowns are unable to defeat AmaTuks on Saturday.
Hunt will be without striker Calvin Kadi for the the all-important match, after the player received his marching orders against Pretoria University.
The match will be covered LIVE on Goal South Africa, with commentary starting at 19:45 on Saturday night.
