Maritzburg have made it clear that they will not take any chances when they battle it out in the Eastern Cape. Coach Ernst Middendorp stated that he wanted nothing else but a win.

“We are taking this game very, very seriously. We will be treating it like a PSL match,” he told the clubs official site.

“When it comes to team selection, I’ll be putting out our strongest team – this is no time to change things around,” he said.

Players like Delron Buckley and Dillon Sheppard are most likely to start, if they are a hundred percent fit. In the start of the Nedbank Cup they have played responsibly and showed a lot of respect for lower level teams despite their inexperience.

Tembu Royals goalkeeper Langeni Gogo will have to be alert as he said told Goal.com early on that he would love to play for any of the KZN teams, but this match will be another opportunity for him to market himself. His test will come from Mohamed Awal, who has been linked to sign for a European team at the end of the season.

On the other hand the Team of Choice goalkeeper and captain Shuaib Walters told Goal.com that he will be keeping a close eye on former Santos striker Phikolethu Spelman.

It will not only be Spelman who will be most likely to give the visitors a hard time but also Zukisa Ginya who was accused of using his brother’s identity document. Ginya brings stability in the midfield for Royals and if he gets opportunities he does take the opportunities to score.

After Royals eliminated AmaZulu in the first round, they will be pushing hard to advance to the next round and meeting SuperSport United in the last eight.
