Club History
One of the original MLS franchises as the San Jose Clash, the team struggled early on, but won two MLS Cups and a Supporters' Shield in the early 2000s before relocating to Houston in 2005. San Jose rejoined the league as the second incarnation of the Earthquakes in 2008 and claimed the Supporters' Shield in 2012 thanks to an exhilarating season buoyed by Chris Wondolowski's 27 goals.
